INTRODUCTION

Not everyone knows that the noise is a form of energy that uses an elastic mean to spread around and it propagates as an irregular or intermittent oscillatory phenomenon according to a spectrum of frequencies in the audible.

When sound pressure wave encounters an obstacle, a percentage of energy passes through it, a partly is absorbed and partly is reflected from the obstacle. This part can cause discomfort. The sound energy reflected produces an acoustic phenomenon called glare that depends on the size of the room and the nature of the obstacles invested.

From the equations it follows that greater is the absorbing energy (Wa), the lower is the part of the energy which is reflected in (Wr) and / or transmitted (Wt). The coefficient that defines the value of sound absorption is indicated as:

The property of sound absorbing materials is to reduce this part of the sound energy; this property should not be confused with the acoustic insulation property, to combat which it is also necessary to act on the mass with appropriate soundproofing materials. For this purpose CITTERIO has studied and realized a system of phono-absorption with specific materials to reduce this negative effect. In particular we have designed a series of elements to be used on the existing fixed walls and CITTERIO™ internal partitions: Sealed, Vision and Programma3. We also designed and implemented a self-supporting modular box for specific uses of privacy.

ABSORPTION SYSTEM FOR WALLS

The panels are made of:
Polyester panel having D.1 kg/sqm, hot-pressed together with the outer covering fabric. Polyester reaction to fire: zero class; Fabric with elastic texture. Composition:100% PE, weight 0.21 kg / m2. flame-retardant treatment protect. Availability of 14 colors; Support made of particle board of wood. Class 2^ fire reaction, weight 9 kg / m2 conforming to Dl n. 288 of 10.12.2008; Frame made by an extruded aluminum with anodized finish.

The outer surface of the panel is in low relief technical decorative studied to obtain the maximum acoustic efficiency from a broad spectrum of noise frequencies, especially from those below 250 Hz. The effectiveness of the system will help to reduce reverberation times in order to mitigate or eliminate the discomfort caused by acoustic noise. A questionnaire can provide a range of information to be processed to quantify the area required to achieve the optimal phono-absorption level. The execution is to cover the t a surface of the blind existing walls. The panel, of width 950 mm, in its below part is provided with a socket made of extruded anodized aluminum h. 48 mm.

PRIVACY BUBBLE

The C-SS box is a real concentrate of technology in order to offer a system with high phono-absorbency characteristics. It can be supplied with or without a ceiling. In the case of ceiling, box width is necessarily of 3 modules (3 ml size), with a maximum depth of 6 modules (5,85 ml size). The box without ceiling can reach 5,85 ml per side. The box is composed of modules having L = 950 mm and a perimetral structure with self-supporting aluminum extruded profiles. The angles at 90° are made of an extruded aluminum, with lower support. The union between the modules is by a continuous vertical Pvc profile. The access to the box is permitted by means of a sliding glass door. The overall height of the box is 2410 mm. In addition, the box has been conceived as a system which can be assembled with only few elements to be easily removed. The base is 14 mm adjustable in height.
